How does "Trap" work?
-
The goal of Trap is to break all 25 "birds" in a single round that leave a "trap house" and move away from the shooters.
-
A bird is a brightly colored clay target that is about 4" in diameter.
-
The trap house contains the machine that throws the birds.
-
A round is a set of 5 shots in each of the 5 positions.
-
Each of the maximum of 5 people shooting calls "pull" in turn and a bird leaves to be shot.
-
Only one person shoots at a time.
-
Once all shooters takes all 5 shots at a single position, everyone moves one position to the right, with the last position 5 moving behind the other shooters to position 1.

-
We are happy to help guide you though the process of taking 5 shots, and then changing positions.
-
We are available to provide guidance on tracking the bird, stance, and how to "lead" the bird.
-
Do not hesitate to ask what you can do better, gun recommendations, or other shotgun related sports.
