About the Robert Sears Memorial 1911 Match

The Robert Sears Memorial 1911 Match honors the life and legacy of Rob Sears, a dedicated member of the shooting community and a proud United States Air Force veteran.

Rob passed away on January 26, 2016, after a battle with ALS. He was an active competitor at Bearcamp and clubs throughout New Hampshire, known for his skill, sportsmanship, and mastery of the 1911 .45 ACP platform.

Rob served for 20 years in the United States Air Force, with assignments around the world.

In keeping with his wishes, donations made in his memory were directed to the New Hampshire Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Magazine capacity is limited to 10 rounds to reflect standard 1911 configuration and maintain consistency across competitors.
